William D. WINDHAM (b. 8 May 1861, AngeCtyTX; d. 23 Jan 1923, Globe,
GilaCtyAZ;
Find-A-Grave 182001732, AZ)
|
Notes: |
-
On the Arizona Cert. of
death, William Windham's parents are listed as James Windham and
Laura Jones. It is also stated that William was born in Miss.
-
It is my assumption that these two Windham
men in Gila County, Arizona, are brothers.

|
Notes: |
-
Jim Windham Jr.'s Arizona
Death Certificate (Informant is W. B. Nash) does not list his parents.
It is indicated that James was a retired cattleman. His death, in
Winkelman, AZ, was the result of a fire at the house where he was
residing. Another man, Bert Swearengen, also died.
-
Luther Windham
was shot by his father-in-law in September of 1923. This
newspaper article
recounts the event. It appears that he survived. In 1930, it appears
that he was in
prison at the San Diego County Jail.
